Forest Barn House is a private estate home situated at a height of 4600 ft above sea level amidst a private forest acreage of oaks in Sattal, Uttarakhand.
Sattal, as the name suggests is a group of 7 interconnected fresh water lakes in the lower Himalayan range. The region is home to 500 species of resident and migratory birds, which is heaven for birdwatchers & wildlife photographers. It is also one of the few unspoiled & unpolluted freshwater biomes in India .
Adjoining the Forest Barn House is the Sattal christian ashram founded by Stanley Jones (1884-1973), which was a former tea plantation during the British Era.
